Sub: Brief of the meeting of the Committee on Revision of Hourly Rate of Incentive Bonus and Bonus Factor of the Workshops and Production Units – AIRF’s PNM Item No.01/2018

Meeting of the Committee on Revision of Hourly Rate of Incentive Bonus and Bonus Factor of the Workshops and Production Units – AIRF’s PNM Item No.01/2018 was held today in Conference Hall, Rail Bhawan, New Delhi.

Official Side(Railway Board) informed that, tenure of the Committee, so formed vide Board’s letter dated 18.05.2018, has further been extended for three months.

AIRF strongly lodged its dissatisfaction on the attitude of the Official Side and mentioned that, we want solution within a definite timeframe to maintain industrial peace and harmony.

Due to change of administrative member(vice Smt. Kalyani Chaddha, EDME), basic issues once again raised in detail, including much loss to SSE’s comparative to JE’s, on which documents, reflecting the same have already been submitted to the said committee in the previous meeting.

AIRF again forcefully made it clear that, basic principles decided by the Board at the time of agreement, after 5th CPC, in the year 1999, cannot be deviated since rates, based on the mean of the pay-scale, were already brought to minimum of the pay scale(Pay Matrix of each level in 7th CPC terms) and further losses to SSEs comparative to JEs has to be compensated by enhancing the present 15% up to 30%.

AIRF demanded definite timeframe to decide the issue.

Official Side ultimately mentioned that, a draft proposal, examining all the aspects, will be provided to the Staff Side within 15 days and on getting comments on the same, final round meeting of the committee will be called to settle the same.
