No.AIRF/405(VII CPC) Dated: August 14, 2017
The Director General(Pers.),
Railway Board,
New Delhi
Dear Sir,
Sub: Recommendation of 7th Central Pay Commission – Decision relating to grant of Risk and Hardship Allowance for Track Maintainers of Indian Railways
Railway Ministry(Railway Board) vide RBE No.87/2017 dated 10.08.2017 have issued letter their No.PC-VII/2017/I/7/5/4 dated 10.08.2017 for releasing Risk and Hardship Allowance Rs.2700 to Trackmen from scale 1 to 4 and Rs.3400 from scale 5 to 9 for making payment to them w.e.f. 01.07.2017.
A letter from the Railway Board with same RBE number dated 14.08.2017 has been circulated on social media, stating that, Railway Board have withdrawn Risk and Hardship Allowance to be given to Trackmen.
The above seems to be done by some mischievous and unscrupulous elements, but in view of the sensitivity, it would be highly appreciated if necessary clarification is issued from the Railway Ministry (Railway Board) in this regard.
I would also request that, because it has been done to defame the Ministry of Railways(Railway Board), a FIR should be lodged under cyber crime and a Vigilance enquiry should also be initiated on this sensitive issue to destitute the unscrupulous elements from such acts in future.
