No. AIRF/82 Dated: August 8, 2026

The A.M.(H.R.),
Railway Board,
New Delhi

Dear Madam,

Sub: Non-provision of break-journey in Duty Passes, issued to Railway Employees for performing outstation duties, in HRMS – Reg.

Complaints are pouring in the office of AIRF that, there is no provision in HRMS Modules for break-journey in Duty Passes issued to Railway Employees for performing outstation duty.

When Duty Passes used to be issued manually prior to introduction of HRMS Module; this provision was already in existence, facilitating the concerned staff to avail reservation in parts in case no direct train was available to the destination from the originating station.

In the absence of provision of break-journey in HRMS Module; great difficulties are being experienced in such cases during journey.

It is, therefore, requested that the issue may be looked into and corrective measures taken on priority to restore provision of break-journey in HRMS Module in Duty Passes wherever found necessary.

An early action in the matter shall be highly appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

(Shiva Gopal Mishra)
