CONGRATULATIONS!
The General Secretaries,
All Affiliated Unions,
Dear Comrades,
Sub: AIRF’s Historic Achievement on SPAD – 1 st January, 2018 “Strong Protest” by AIRF Affiliates all over the Indian Railways proved worthy
As a result of sustained efforts made by All India Railwaymen’s Federation(AIRF), the punishment of Removal/Dismissal from Service, assigned for the LPs and ALPs in case of SPAD, has been reviewed by the Railway Board and they have decided that, Railway Board’s earlier instructions were only advisory. Now, in future Railway Board’s instructions will not be mandatory.
For the above AIRF has thanked to the CRB who has made special efforts for reviewing the orders of the SPAD issued from the Railway Board.
Here it is pertinent to mention that, both Khanna Committee and D.P. Tripathi Committee had also advised the Railway Board for scrapping of such draconian rules where minimum punishment for SPAD has been kept Removal/Dismissal from Service.
AIRF had raised this issue in various Negotiating Fora, right from Minister from Railways to all the Members of the Railway Board, and it has been a regular PNM Agenda Item – No.29/2012 of AIRF with the Railway Board.
Orders on the above subject will be issued shortly.
With Fraternal Greetings!
